Because DFTA as an organization engages in only limited policy work, we recommend the following resources and allies for a fuller picture of policies relevant to food, agriculture, and trade.

The National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition (NSAC) describes itself as a national alliance of family farm, food, conservation, rural, and urban organizations that together take common positions on federal agriculture and food policies, and engage and support the broad and vital grassroots efforts across the country to win long-term policy change.

Pesticide Action Network North America is a DFTA member that provides information on toxic chemicals, facilitates campaigns to eliminate certain pesticides, and suggests action steps individuals can take to reform pesticide use.

RAFI-USA is a DFTA member that engages in work on fair contract for farmers, GMOs, and social justice in the food system, among other issues.

The Rural Coalition is an alliance of regionally and culturally diverse organizations working to build a more just and sustainable food system. They have policy resources including a farm bill web center.

The US Food Sovereignty Alliance is a diverse coalition addressing the food crisis and issues of control and empowerment in the food system.
